Back from the Cabin

We had a great time at the cabin. I found out Robert isn't an outdoors boy, he just thinks he is and that can be very funny at times. We fished, without much luck, and hiked a lot more than we had before. All in all we had fun. Bill and I shared the cooking chores and everyone ate well while in the mountains. I found and we explored the Tincup Cemetery which we all found very interesting. I took lots of pics which I will be posting on Flickr. Newt my youngest has a thing for getting in Taylor Res. in just his unders but, he also has the best luck fishing, maybe if we all tried it we would all catch bigger fish. I was able to use my EMT skills on an elderly man who had fallen on some sharp rocks. He cut his hand pretty bad and needed a pressure bandage to stop the bleeding. I told him to have a Dr. look at it and that he may need stitches, he then asked if he could continue to fish for a while before leaving. I said yes. We pulled back into Hugo around 3:30 PM yesterday and that is when things went to hell in a hand basket.
Bills boss drove by on her way to Colorado Springs and we found out her husband is not doing well and may pass away before too long. We were also told that a young man from Hugo had died that AM from a bad cut to his fingers(still sketchy on those details). So, we have the bad news lets go in the house and bring the dogs in from the backyard. When we check dogs Spot is missing, I call around to find out he had been taken to the vets early on Saturday AM and had passed away a few hours ago from Parvo, we are all upset we have lost the baby of the family. I am thinking maybe we should just turn around and go back to the mountains by now. My oldest son James then checks his room to check on his mouse, sadly she has passed away also! Dam! Now I know I want to go away again. So, I will tell you, Spot is the only dog I ever thought about getting all his shots for, not just rabies, I had started his puppy shots and was in the process of getting them all, he had had part but, not all of his Parvo stuff, yet, he is the one that died! Really makes me wonder but, the vet was nice enough to come to the house yesterday around 4:30 and give shots to our other dogs, hopefully nobody else will get sick. I write more later, now I am off to the laundromat to do the mountains of laundry, that way it will be done and it will be out of the way, I think I have three black trash bags full!!! HELP!!!! Love and Peace.
